Many clients think, process information, and communicate in ways that don’t match the standard attorney-client playbook. This CLE offers practical, stage-by-stage strategies for representing neurodiverse clients more effectively. We’ll start with a brief overview of what neurodiversity includes, signs a client may be neurodiverse, and common challenges they face. From there, we’ll walk through the life of a case: running an initial consultation that draws out the information you actually need, assigning client tasks without overwhelming them, sending case updates that are clear and manageable, and supporting clients through depositions, mediations, and court appearances. Attendees will leave with concrete tools, questions, and habits that lawyers and staff can put to use right away.
